an interesting study in Nature Sustainability this week: researchers have developed a coating that keeps toilets from sticking to shit.

experiments show that after this treatment, water droplets and sticky fecal simulations can easily slip off the toilet wall and prevent bacteria from attaching. The researchers estimate that a coating applied to the toilet can withstand about 500 flushes, after which the lubricating layer needs to be sprayed again.

from the design idea of surface microstructure and infiltrating lubricating fluid, it is actually a bit like another slippery coating LiquiGlide, but the demonstration of LiquiGlide is used in ketchup bottles.
